Prerequisite:Youmustbeasuperuser(root)toinstallanduninstall

CollabNetSubversion.

2.Import/UpdateCollabNetcertificate

CollabNetSubversionSolarispackagesaresigned.Asaone-timetask,

importtheCollabNetcertificateusingthecommand:

sudopkgadmaddcert-tycertificate.pem

TheCollabNetcertificateisavailablefordownloadat:

http://www.collab.net/nonav/downloads/subversion/certificate/certificate.pem

NOTE:thecertificatehaschangedbetween1.5.0and1.5.1release.The

certificateusedfor1.5.0hadashortexpirationdatesowehavecreated

anewcertificate.Ifyouhavepreviouslyinstalledthe1.5.0certificate,

youmustremoveitbeforeinstallingthenewone:

sudopkgadmremovecert“AlexanderThomas(AT)”

Onceitisremovedyoucaninstallthenewcertificate.

3.Firstinstallation

ThecommandtoinstalltheCollabNetSubversionclient,ifapreviousversion

hasnotalreadybeeninstalled,is:

sudopkgadd-d/path/to/client-sparc-local

4.Updatinganexistinginstallation

TheproperwaytoupdateaSolarispackageistoremovethecurrentversion

andtheninstallthenewversion.IfyouhavetheCollabNetSubversionserver

installed,youwillneedtoremoveitfirst.Again,refertothereadmefor

thatpackagebeforeproceeding.

sudopkgrmCSVNclnt

sudopkgadd-d/path/to/client-sparc-local

5.Post-installationinstructions

A.CollabNetSubversioninstallsinto/opt/CollabNet_Subversion,whichis

probablynotontheexecutablesearchpathforyoursystem.Addthedirectory

/opt/CollabNet_Subversion/bintoyour$PATHenvironmentvariable.Inorderto

makethischangeaffectallusersofyoursystemandpersistsacrossreboots,

addthefollowinglineto/etc/profile:

PATH=/opt/CollabNet_Subversion/bin:$PATH

B.CollabNetSubversionprovidesmanpagesandlocalizationsforseveral

languages.Totakeadvantageofthesefeatures,updateyourMANPATHand/or

LOCPATHenvironmentvariablestoincludetheCollabNetSubversiondirectories.

Forexample:

exportMANPATH=/opt/CollabNet_Subversion/share/man:$MANPATH

exportLOCPATH=/opt/CollabNet_Subversion/share/locale:$LOCPATH
