centos升级mysql到5.5

系统环境：centos5.5

centos5.5的源mysql目前还停留在5.0.19上，要做数据库主从的时候，必须升级到5.1以上。

索性，直接到5.5吧

1、安装MySQL5.5.x的yum源：

rpm-Uvhhttp://repo.webtatic.com/yum/centos/5/latest.rpm

2、安装MySQL客户端的支持包：

yuminstalllibmysqlclient15--enablerepo=webtatic

3、卸载MySQL老版本的软件包：

yumremovemysqlmysql-*

4、安装MySQL5.5的客户端和服务端：

yuminstallmysql55mysql55-server--enablerepo=webtatic

5、启动MySQL系统服务，更新数据库：

/etc/init.d/mysqldrestart

mysql_upgrade

升级完毕

/etc/init.d/mysqld restart
停止 mysqld：                                              [确定]
初始化 MySQL 数据库： Installing MySQL system tables...
OK
Filling help tables...
OK

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy
support-files/mysql.server to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:

/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
/usr/bin/mysqladmin -u root -h client4.360zan.cn password 'new-password'

Alternatively you can run:
/usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation

which will also give you the option of removing the test
databases and anonymous user created by default.  This is
strongly recommended for production servers.

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd /usr ; /usr/bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with mysql-test-run.pl
cd /usr/mysql-test ; perl mysql-test-run.pl
